Mina Cuesta

Mina Cuesta was first introduced to music as a therapeutic tool to support speech development as a non-verbal, intellectually delayed preschooler. While progress was gradual, it soon became clear that Mina possessed perfect pitch and a remarkable soprano range. At age 15, she began formal vocal training, studying opera at both the NY Citywide Youth Opera Program and the Mannes Conservatory Precollege.

Mina currently trains privately and is a part-time student at Juilliard, supported by adaptive accommodations.

Her performance credits include singing with The New York Pops in the Winter Concert Series at Carnegie Hall, a featured duet with Catherine O’Hara for NY Arts for Autism, and studio background vocals on HBO’s Stranger Things. Regional musical theater roles include Cosette in Les Misérables and, most recently, Elsa in Spring Awakening.
